Subject outline

In the unit students will learn the importance of persuasion and the need to build logical arguments; to understand and apply advanced knowledge about the fundmental rules of evidence relating to the admission of evidence in the context of trial. They will learn the techniques of persuasive advocacy and gain practical experience in the techniques of a good advocate. Techniques for dealing with expert and other special situations and for developing skills in presenting submissions to the court whether orally or in writing will also be learnt.
