Subject outline
Strategic communications principles will examine the theoretical and ethical basis of the practice. The opening unit which introduces strategic communication covers basic skills and this course provides a context for those skills. By examing communications principles, theories and ethics, students will have a deeper understanding of the industry and how it works in today's world. It will examine the history and evolution of strategic communications, highlighting importance of ethical practice. It will also look at identifying publics and the need for strategic communications programs.
