Subject outline
Students explore the history and role of the humanities, social studies, social education and Studies of Society and Environment (SOSE) in school programs. They develop the ability to plan, implement and evaluate humanities, social education and citizenship education programs in schools, particularly primary schools. Students are provided with opportunities to develop knowledge and appreciation of Australian history, culture and society, particularly as they affect contemporary social issues and their role as social educators.
