Subject outline
In this subject, students will explore the microeconomics of labour markets, including labour supply and demand, education and training, wage and salary determination, and labour turnover and mobility. The economic implications of trade union activity and government regulation are also considered. Problems of gender equity and the ageing of the labour force will be addressed. The subject concludes with discussion of major public policy issues related to these personnel questions.
