TREATMENT PLANNING AND COMMUNICATION

DEN3TPC

2014

Credit points: 15

Subject outline

In this subject students will identify, explore and apply different communication strategies in order to elicit, with empathy, relevant patient information. The skills acquired will promote and contribute to the development of a comprehensive holistic approach to the treatment planning process and explanation of treatment options - both of which are core components of a patient's care plan. Integration and application of prior learning, with the introduction of new material, will enhance data collection and diagnostic procedures in relation to the theories and rudimentary skills of effective clinical practice.
