Subject outline

PPSD is a cornerstone subject of the MBA program comprising three 5-credit point components, each of 12 hours face-to-face teaching time. All three components of this subject are dedicated to the development and assessment of personal and core professional management and leadership skills. Component one is the MBA Orientation and compulsory for all students, introducing the MBA philosophy and graduate capabilities (with a particular emphasis on writing, speaking, creative problem-solving and teamwork). The remaining two elements come from a limited choice of 5-credit point skills development subjects (currently including for instance: Academic Writing; Leadership and Teambuilding Skills; Negotiation; Strategic Problem-Solving Skills).
