Subject outline

In this subject, you will explore the evidence that underpins the provision of prosthetic devices for persons with transtibial, ankle disarticulation and partial foot amputations. This will include principles of clinical assessment of clients with amputations, clinical decision making and prescription considerations within the prosthetic treatment process. Evidence based prosthetic treatment of various amputation levels is presented in the context of contemporary clinical practice.
