In this subject, you will focus on complex scenarios in maternity care that require an ability to plan, implement and evaluate a multifaceted maternity situations. This subject enables you to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, clinical proficiency in midwifery and effective communication skills for ethically oriented professional practice. You will be able to make high level independent judgements; plan, implement and evaluate practice and function effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team. The subject is delivered via a blended learning approach, comprising face-to-face teaching, workshops and online learning modules via LMS. This is supported by clinical practicum in the maternity setting.
