Subject outline

Screen Criticism is an EBL (Enquiry based learning) subject about writing, talking about, editing, practicing and publishing screen criticism. In this subject students will analyse historical and contemporary issues about screen criticism, critics and their approach to writing, case studies of critics as well as case studies of individual films. Great emphasis is placed on writing (and rewriting); students must be prepared to write frequently, to discuss writing in detail, and to analyse and workshop their own essays and those of their colleagues.
