This subject is a critical contemporary exploration of migration and mobility, and the linguistic outcomes of these processes. Students examine multilingualism at the level of the individual as well as community, society and globally. This involves examination of the cognitive and social dimensions of multilingualism, language acquisition and the politics of governing and supporting linguistically diverse communities.
