This subject will allow you to develop an understanding of professional healthcare delivery in Australia. Areas of professional healthcare delivery that will be examined include; population health and prevention, general practice and community health; emergency health services and hospital care; mental health, rehabilitation and palliative care. You will review and analyse the overall health of Australia's population and investigate the diverse roles of a range of health professionals in the delivery of healthcare. You will develop critical reasoning skills through relevant case scenarios which introduce enquiry-based learning and teamwork. This subject will support the development of foundation academic skills and information literacy required for successful university study.
