01. Analyse and reflect on how Australian children's and young adult (YA literature contributes to constructing Australia's external and internal identities including: physical (landscape and environments), emotional and spiritual, cultural and socio-political identities.
02. Demonstrate your knowledge of the development of Australian children's and YA literature in the last 40 years, with a specific focus on the genres of family, adventure, speculative fiction, poetry, non-fiction and short story.
03. Interpret, analyse and respond to Australian texts for children and YAs using appropriate criteria for children's and YA literature.
04. Demonstrate your critical understanding of current writing and publishing trends in Australian children's and YA literature.
