Subject outline
This subject will explore issues of project design and implementation in complex situations. Students will be challenged to move from traditional program management approaches, which presuppose a linear and stable environment, to more interactive strategies. Particular attention will be given to methods and processes that promote notions of inclusion and participation. Key areas will include: identification of entry points for change; understanding theories of change; working from a politically informed perspective; working with and through coalitions; leveraging on inclusion as a way to strengthen and broaden strategies for change; and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E).
