In this subject you will gain an understanding of growth and development in humans, specifically craniofacial growth, which is fundamental to developing diagnostic ability and treatment planning skills in dentistry. You will be introduced to physical development from birth until adulthood and how this influences growth and development in the orofacial region. In addition, you will become familiar with common dentofacial abnormalities along with the classification of malocclusions, the development of normal occlusion, and common interceptive treatments.
