Standards, technologies and platforms targeting Internet of Things (IoT) ecosystem are being developed at a very fast pace for many different types of applications including healthcare, home and industry automation. This subject provides you with a solid understanding of the latest IoT protocols, including communication protocols, infrastructure protocols and data protocols. Moreover, this subject will also cover state of the art IoT platforms, including both commercial and open source IoT platforms. You will obtain detailed knowledge for analysing and evaluating the right protocol/platform/architecture for various IoT applications.
