Subject outline

In this subject you will explore advanced clinical audiology skills, with an emphasis on rehabilitative audiology in adults. Through focused and intensive external clinical placements, you will enhance your clinical competence and reasoning skills, and will further develop your own professional identity. Through professional practice workshops, you will be taught to develop an understanding of ethical practice and legislation regulations in audiology. Your learning in this subject will be assessed by assignments, clinical and oral examinations and by assessment of clinical performance during placements. Professional accreditation requires a minimum level of clinical exposure. Your attendance at professional placements will contribute to meeting this requirement for professional recognition as an audiologist. .
