Subject outline

This subject develops the knowledge and understanding required to manage the health of horses in a sustainable holistic context using established knowledge in the area of epidemiology and its application to the health management of horses. Through project work and practicals, you will develop knowledge and skills required for the detection and management of specific equine diseases that are problematic under Australian conditions, to minimise the occurrence and severity of disease, and evaluate management practices.
