CLINICAL BIOMECHANICS IN PODIATRY
POD4CBP
2019
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
In this subject students will develop their understanding of podiatric biomechanics and knowledge in orthotic theory. Authentic clinical cases and enquiry-based activities are used to develop the student's understanding of the role of podiatric biomechanics and orthotic therapy in commonly encountered conditions in the context of evidence-based practice. Students will complete a program of practicums and start to develop a range of clinical skills that underpin the biomechanical management of the cases examined.
