This subject addresses La Trobe's Global Citizenship Essential. Global Citizenship is about learning to live in an interconnected world, including the social, environmental, political and economic challenges this brings.

Subject outline

Students examine the social and cultural context of education and implications for outdoor education. Components include discourses on the outdoors and 'the bush', curriculum enquiry and implications for teaching in the outdoors and global citizenship. Students undertake an agreed Applied Learning Experience of 3 days linked to an observational assignment.
