Innovation is the key to gaining and maintaining a competitive advantage in the business world. This subject provides a systematic approach to the strategies and processes that underlie successful innovation in goods and services. Using the latest research on the process and practice of innovation, underpinned by an extensive use of site visits to local organizations and the use of case study material, you will focus on market, organizational and technological issues in innovation management.

Activities:
Case seminar , team exercises and final assignment dealing with all the changing landscape of innovation, optimising collaboration, obstacles on a corporate and personal level, the forms and pervasiveness of open innovation

03. Create an innovation action plan for an existing organization relevant to their specific attributes and the broader market.

Activities:
Case based seminars and team and written exercises to explore the impact of innovation on corporate performance: product or service innovation, process innovation, position innovation including changes in the context in which the products/services are introduced to examine Developing an innovation strategy, sources of innovation and innovation networks. Decision making under uncertainty.

04. Initiate effective teamwork skills for collaboration and problem solving.

Activities:
Case based seminars and presentation approach to building the innovation case, to creating new products and services and to guide the exploitation of new ventures. Team exercises to enhance collaboration and teamwork skills.
