In this subject you will develop and critically evaluate the knowledge, skills and competencies to teach science and humanities in primary schools. You will explore innovative pedagogies and core conceptual understandings related to teaching and learning in science and humanities. You will investigate high quality curriculum resources available for teaching science and humanities topics, as well as develop an awareness of the general capabilities and structure of the Australian Curriculum. You will also have the opportunity to examine contemporary issues that influence science and humanities education. You are required to undertake Professional experience of 20 days in the upper years of Primary School (grades 3-6).
