INTRODUCTION TO QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS
ECO1IQN
2019
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
In Quantitative Analysis, you will understand how to use and interpret mathematical tools along with their various applications in economics, finance and business. You will learn about number systems, functions, linear equations, non-linear equations, linear algebra, univariate differential calculus, multivariate differential calculus, unconstrained optimisation and equality-constrained optimisation; with each illustrated using applications from economics, finance and business studies.
