In this subject students will learn the essentials of human nutrition that improve and sustain optimal performance for sport and exercise for both elite and recreational athletes. It will cover topics including training and competition nutrition, optimising body composition and performance and applications in specific sports and populations.

Prerequisites Must be admitted in: HBHNHK; OR Must be admitted in one the following courses: HBHN, HZNDP, HBES, HBESB, HBSES AND must have passed the following subjects: HBS1HBA and HBS1HBB and (DTN2PNU or DTN1NHW or SPE1FSA). All other students require subject coordinators approval.
