Subject outline

In this subject you will develop an understanding of the underpinning pathophysiology relating to specific medical conditions and the importance of integrating theory into practice. You will extend your knowledge of systematic assessment procedures and history taking technique, and will apply these to the patient presenting with a medical condition. You will use the decision-making process to assess and plan the management of patients presenting with a variety of medical conditions. Communication techniques appropriate to patient presentations will be identified and developed.
