Subject outline

The Hallmarks ofLeadership will introduce students to undergraduate research methodologies while also critically exploring concepts of leadership and sustainability. Students will researchdifferent models of leadership and will be encouraged to develop projects aroundsustainable leadership that has relevance to students' own lives and interests. In theprocess of learning about leadership, students will trial common researchmethods, and search for and critically assess information. Throughout thesubject, students will have opportunities to learn more about the researchundertaken at La Trobe and meet and greet with established and emerging leadersin the university. While familiarising students with the basics ofresearch(ing) in an academic and non-academic context, this subject alsointroduces students to a range of transferable skills that will help them adaptto the university environment.
