Subject outline

This subject will extend understanding and knowledge for Pre ServiceTeachers (PST) about creating inclusive learning environments. Activities in this subject address Australian legislative requirements and develop appropriate teaching strategies that support the participation and learning of students from diverse backgrounds and learning abilities, this includes children with English as an Additional Language and/ or Dialect (EAL/D). Educational and social implications for children from diverse backgrounds and with diverse learning abilities are examined through an inclusive education practicum placement in an early years of primary settingwith particular attention given to special education setting.
