This subject introduces the principles of functional anatomy and physiology of the major equine body systems from the microscopic level to the horse as an integrated entity. Key topics include: the functional anatomy and physiology of major body systems, the physiological mechanisms utilised when responding to environmental, stress and health challenges and develoment of skills including health and safety requireiments of an anatomical laboratory, and basic laboratory dissections, procedures and calculations
