Subject outline
Studio based design practice encouraging individual students to investigate areas of diversity within the communication industry. The project material attempted in this subject is designed to challenge the student and develop the ability to visualise creative solutions to given design problems. Students may select an area of specialisation based upon their experience or interests. A final folio will be built on this individual interest and may include: advertising, publishing, editorial, illustration, photography, studio design and/or digital media. Major project parameters will be developed in consultation. Individual projects may be a single document such as an illustrated book, or muilti-faceted. Projects must meet the requirements of the course at an advanced level. Subject matter is introduced through formal briefing and discussion, and developed by critique and assessment of outcomes.
