Subject outline

Design Studies 4 further develops techniques that encourage lateral conceptualisation and application of innovative ideas for the resolution of design media communications. This subject extends the design thinking investigation to a broad range of design applications with specific attention to page and grid layout, corporate style development, promotion design, visual merchandising, display and packaging, photography and print concepts. Project outcomes are developed to an industry presentation visual standard with simulated and/or live briefs throughout the semester. Typographic skills and applications are extended, and projects are consolidated by feed forward critique of project outcomes.
