This subject presents students with the opportunity to be exposed to a variety of contemporary professional environments in Prosthetics and Orthotics in a clinical context. Upon successful completion of this subject, students must have demonstrated their ability to engage in professional clinical and technical prosthetic and orthotic services with a clinical supervisor or clinical team. Emphasis is placed on providing students with an opportunity to experience a range of clinical and technical environments, through participation within a team at their allocated facility. The opportunity to experience clinical exposure will exist in multiple teaching instances within private, public, domestic and international prosthetics and orthotics facilities.This subject aligns with extended clinical expectations and will ensure placement readiness for fourth year clinical school teaching and clinical placements.

01. Demonstrate the ability to engage clearly and knowledgably in client / clinician interactions with a clinical supervisor or team of professionals in a clinical setting in Australia or overseas.

02. Perform, under supervision, subjective and objective clinical assessments consistent with current level of knowledge and evaluate performance to inform personal and professional development.

03. Evaluate and reflect on the clinical treatments and services observed integrating current knowledge of evidence based clinical practices.
