Subject outline

This subject describes the requirements to participate in a range of acute health environments and includes development of skill sets to develop individualised health care plans by collection of data captured during a client's preliminary and ongoing health assessments. Assessment is based on a lifespan approach and incorporates performing wound assessment and management, contributing to work health and safety (WHS) processes and applying first aid and infection control policies. Taught in conjunction with other vocational nursing competencies.
