In this subject students establish intermediate competence in speaking, reading and writing. This course enables students to practically apply their knowledge. Building on the skill set gained in JPN2003, this subject brings the total number of characters learnt to approximately 450.

- Activities:
- Activities that promote the construction of intermediate level communication about relevant topics in the target language. For example, a scene of a movie shown and students discuss in groups and report back to the class in Japanese.
