INTEGRATING EVIDENCE INTO PRACTICE
HLT2IEP
2017
Credit points: 15
Subject outline
In this subject, students learn to formulate answerable practice-related questions, search for evidence, evaluate the evidence, apply the evidence and reflect on their own performance. During the course of this learning, students also begin to develop an understanding of research processes and, thereby, develop 'research literacy' as an essential tool for health practice and for the utilisation of research evidence in practice. Relevant aspects of research methods are introduced, and students acquire knowledge relating to the selection and use of measures and/or tests that are used in research and in practice in their discipline.
