In this subject students examine (i) contemporary Australian cultural and social patterns and education; (ii) psycho-social models and patterns of child development; (iii) theory and research which enables teachers to better understand children as diverse learners, and (iv) the relationship the above knowledge domains have to pedagogic choices and learning outcomes.
