Your Vision. Your Future. Where is Photography Taking You. In this final Unit the student is preparing for their future. The assignments relate directly to and involve the industry in a practical and collaborative way. All aspects of the students' possible future after LTU are explored, from exhibiting work to corporate and many avenues in between. Research and visual exploration of Assignment 3 to begin by Week 5 at the latest. Access to Adobe Lightroom OR Photoshop mandatory. DSLR camera using memory card & RAW file mandatory.

01. CRITICAL THINKING/CREATIVE PROBLEM SOLVING: Develop cognitive and technical ability in the use of required technologies. Analyse project opportunities and develop creative solutions.

Activities:
Evaluation of influences of professional outcomes both technical and conceptual Creative problem solving demonstrated by project outcomes in assignment and folio presentation.

02. ETHICAL AND CULTURAL AWARENESS: Show an awareness of social, cultural and ethical issues at all times. To act appropriately at all times, and at all stages of visual documentation - from prior research through to post production.

Activities:
Develop a broad knowledge base to the specific Visual Art disciplines. Across the 6 Units specific lectures are devoted to this subject

03. INQUIRY/RESEARCH: Conduct qualitative research into situations, events to be visually documented. Research should provide multi layered and complex information about potential documentary subject.

Activities:
Assignments that must be researched prior to visual documentation occurring. At least two assignments of this type each semester

04. VISUAL COMMUNICATION: Exhibit professional outcomes in contemporary photographic and photojournalistic practice

Activities:
Continually evaluate student outcomes against industry and professional examples. Assignment outcomes demonstrate development of technical and conceptual abilities tthat visually articulate and communicate to the viewer in a multi layered and complexway

05. VISUAL EXPRESSION THROUGH PRAXIS: To develop a creative and individual approach to design outcomes. To develop a creative and individual approach to design outcomes.

06. WRITING: Communicate effectively, precisely and convincingly in written documentation appropriate to project needs, language and style appropriate to the project - that is either media organisation or exhibition venue.

Artist Statements required for Gallery Exhibition Submission. Caption writing skills as specified by media organisations
