Subject outline
In this subject students will develop a degree of specialisation and competence in basic printmaking techniques and procedures. Students will be encouraged to explore the expressive possibilities andlimitations of each of the techniques. Relief printing and intaglio printing will form the basis of the semester's work. Emphasis will be placed on correct use of materials and equipment. Of importance will be identification and appreciation of printmaking and also health and safety issues. Assessment is based on set projects and the submission of a Studio Research Journal.
