Subject outline

Design Studies 3 extends the exploration into a variety of design industry practices in advertising, publishing, editorial and information design on a range of platforms. Projects support a growing understanding of design industry sectors and project outcomes are developed to an industry presentation visual standard. Attention is paid to typographic design, copy and text, creation and application of visual imagery, photographic, illustrative and contemporary marketing concepts. Subject matter is explored through formal briefings and theoretical discussions, and further developed by critique of project outcomes with industry, client, peer/ colleague, and lecturer focus.
