Studio Studies 1 - 3D Visual Practice provides a foundation study for the exploration of forms and spaces and introduces the student to a range of 3D studio practices. The exploration of studio practice in Ceramics and Sculpture is the focus of the skills and concept development in this semester. Engaging in these intensive studio skills and concept development is extended into a small student directed work that is the culmination of the semester's work. Developing the foundation skills, knowledge and capabilities as a practicing artist is supported by learning the critical reflective skills of analysis and evaluation of own practice and other's work. This is supported by in-class discussion and reviews during the semester.
