Subject outline
In this subject, students will undertake one of six complementary clinical practicums that will provide experience in diverse healthcare settings and across core areas of physiotherapy practice. Students will be rostered to a primary Clinical School prior to commencement of the clinical program, but may be required or permitted to undertake practicums outside of their allocated clinical school. Clinical practicums are supervised by registered physiotherapists and may be organised outside normal teaching weeks. Students will develop specific competencies in the assessment of clients'/patients' problems and needs, the analysis of assessment findings, the formulation of short and long term goals and the development, implementation and evaluation of intervention plans. Students at this level will apply specialised knowledge, cognitive and technical skills to demonstrate autonomy, expert judgement, adaptability and responsibility as a learner.
