Subject outline

The subject will present physiology and pathophysiology of systems such as cardio-respiratory, musculoskeletal, and neurological systems required to undertake a comprehensive clinical assessment. The specialist topics of mental health and women's health will also be presented. Students will be able to provide sound rationale of their assessment findings, ordered laboratory tests and plan of care using advanced clinical decision making by incorporating NP competencies into their practice. The subject will present the systems in terms of developmental stages from neonate to paediatric, to normal adult and the older adult.
