Digital Audio & Vision explores the use of audio and visuals thorough the context of the podcast. You will learn how sound and vision can helptell your story, and how to make the sounds and visuals blend with your words. Students will learn the basic principles of audio and visual storytelling, and how to capture and edit sounds and vision. Students will also gain practical experience in writing scripts to the audio and visuals to produce compelling podcasts. This is a practical learning subject that will be an important prerequisite for JRN3BEJ and MIN3DAB.

Prerequisites Due to limits on production resources, this subject is only open to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Media and Communications, Bachelor of Creative Arts and Bachelor of Arts - Communication Studies Major except with coordinator approval. This subject is compulsory for students enrolled in the Journalism, Media Industries and Sport Journalism majors. It is recommended that students enrolled in Journalism and Media Industries undertake the subject in Semester One (unless with coordinator approval to enrol in Semester Two). It is recommended that students enrolled in Sport Journalism undertake the subject in Semester Two (unless with coordinator approval to enrol in Semester One). Students enrolled in the Public Relations major of the Bachelor of Creative Arts may enrol in the subject as an elective in either semester.
