- Activities:
- Small group work / tutorial based activities using paper based scenarios, media articles, scientific journals. E-learning modules with web based activities. Students will be on a clinical placement for 3 weeks (120 hours) within a maternity care setting. During this time it is expected that they will work toward completing their clinical requirements, consolidate learning and work toward independent practice. Students will have the opportunity to extend their clinical practice with the application of theory and knowledge developed during the semester. Students will be expected to submit a written reflection of their placement. These reflections are to be critical and function as a learning tool as a means of analysing practice as a midwife.
