Subject outline

In this subject students develop understandings of how a child with autism may see and experience the world, particularly in learning and school contexts. Issues that surround inclusive education are interrogated particularly as they relate to social skills and coping behaviours of students with autism. Communication skills and a range of teaching strategies to facilitate communication skills are also investigated.
