Subject outline
This subject is intended to provide engineering students with fundamentals of surveying, some practical skills in using standard engineering surveying equipment. Furthermore, an introduction to the basic theory of remote sensing, GIS (geographic information systems) and GPS (global positioning systems) will be covered where more focus will be placed on practical applications of these techniques in surveying field. The subject is delivered by a combination of lectures and campus practical exercises.
