Subject outline
La Trobe Business School offers students a number of work integrated learning (WIL) opportunities each year to take as a full credit subject. The WIL opportunities vary by discipline and a range of different types of WIL experiences are offered as different instances of this subject. Each WIL experience provides students with the opportunity to apply and develop the knowledge and skills that they have acquired throughout their course to a real or simulated work experience. The learning developed through this subject is generated through the active engagement of the students with the work related experience. This learning is supported by on-line and or face-to-face learning activities provided for the students. While the learning objectives of the subject are the same for all WIL instances, the assessment tasks required of the students may differ from one experience to another so as to reflect the learning experiences each WIL opportunity offers. For details as to the assessment tasks specific to each WIL opportunity please refer to each specific instance.
