Subject outline
This unit will familiarize students with neuro-development models, developmental disorders, acquired disorders and neuropsychological features associated with various medical conditions in children and adolescents. Assessment and interventions across conditions will be discussed. The workshops are designed to enhance active learning. Students will be expected to read set material, conduct literature searches as directed and to engage in class discussion. The workshop topics will include learning disorders, ADHD, Head Injury, Epilepsy, Cancer and Craniofacial Abnormalities.
