CONTEMPORARY HUMANISTIC COUNSELLING

This subject explores in-depth contemporary humanistic theories and other theoretical developments in counselling in the light of humanistic principles and practices. For example, Relational, Integrative and Constructivist perspectives will be considered, which respectively, reflect the increasing appreciation of the role of the therapeutic relationship, the plurality of counselling approaches, and the postmodern view of the role of social construction in both our inter and intra-subjective experiences.
