Subject outline
In this subject, students will be required to develop their role as a clinical educator. The development will be focused toward teaching skills in the facilitation of learning in the clinical setting, structuring of formal and informal learning sessions such as a clinical demonstration, tutorial, seminar, simulation exercise and preparation of e-learning materials. Strategies to promote student directed learning will be presented. Assessment in the clinical context and the management of challenging behaviours.

Special conditions: This subject will only run if sufficient enrolments are achieved. Students must provide evidence of approved health facility access to a minimum of 40-hours of supervised clinical experience that is commensurate with being able to achieve the clinical competencies of this subject.
