Subject outline
In this subject students choose modules of study that best fit with their clinical practice needs. Together, the subject coordinator and student negotiate a study pathway that enables development of cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills in their area of clinical practice. For example, students will be able to choose modules or a whole unit of study in orthopaedics, fluid replacement, asthma, diabetes, respiratory nursing, liver and renal organ transplantation, mental health, pain management, wound care, urology and continence, plus many others. Some modules are offered via Distance Education while others are Day mode and require study day attendance. Selection of the modules should be done in conjunction with the unit coordinator and prior to enrolment in this subject.
