Subject outline
Building on their theoretical and practical understanding of media production practices, students work collaboratively to produce and promote a factual series. Using a selection of accumulative production output from current and prior Media subjects, students will be required to work to a brief in creative teams to devise, write, produce and promote (using social media) 'REAL', a themed review style series for potential broadcast on community TV and web. The aim of this subject is to produce creative industry ready media professionals who have practical experience dealing with ethical issues, copyright and broadcasting standards in factual TV and identifying & writing for target audiences. - The television series that they participate in creating for broadcast is for community television. Students are required to research, produce and discuss the themes expressed within the community television charter within their program
